Feldman, Hamel, and Cunningham earn weekly awards

BEVERLY, Mass. - Three members of the Endicott College women's lacrosse team were honored with The Commonwealth Coast Conference weekly honors, as announced by Commissioner Greg Kaye on Monday. Sophomore Valerie Feldman (Albany, N.Y.), junior Molly Hamel (North Yarmouth, Maine), and freshman Kellie Cunningham (Derry, N.H.) were selected as the conference's Offensive Player of the Week, Defensive Player of the Week, and Rookie of the Week, respectively.

Feldman led the Gulls in scoring this week with four points on three goals and an assist, as Endicott fell to 10th-ranked Amherst in the NCAA Regional Tournament. For the season she led the Gulls with 55 goals, finishing second with 77 points.

Junior goalkeeper Molly Hamel made 18 saves versus Amherst, keeping the Blue and Green within striking distance during the first half. For the game, she turned away 53% of the Lord Jeffs' shots.

Freshman Kellie Cunningham capped off an outstanding freshman year with a goal versus Amherst. Cunningham found the back of the net on a free position shot at 13:38 in the first half. The goal brought her team-leading points total to 78 for the season. She finishes the season with 47 goals and a team-high 31 assists.

The Gulls finish the season 15-6 overall, going a perfect 10-0 in TCCC play while capturing their third-straight conference championship.
