John Emery and Dan Coleman help lead Gulls to NECVA win |
March 1, 2007
BENNINGTON, VT - The Endicott College men's volleyball team made the long haul to Southern Vermont College and made swift work of the Mountaineers, taking the match in three games, 30-3, 30-9 and 30-5.
The Gulls entered Thursday night's contest looking to rebound from their disappointing 3-1 loss to NECVA foe Rivier College from two nights earlier. The Blue and Green returned to form, as they picked up a hasty NECVA conference victory, three games to one.
Endicott was led by John Emery (Westford, MA/Westford Academy) and Mike Meredith's (Belchertown, MA/Belchertown) seven kills apiece. Sophomore setter Matt Carroll (East Hartford, CT/East Hartford) dished out 17 assists in just two games, while Dan Coleman (Millis, MA/Millis) was the Gulls dig leader, racking up 10 digs in just one game played.
Endicott returns to action on Saturday, as the Gulls host their annual March Mania Tournament on the Endicott campus in Beverly, MA. The two-day invitational kicks off on March 3rd, with Endicott squaring off with Hunter College at 1:00 PM. The Gulls will also face Medaille on Saturday afternoon.
