Before starting the program at Endicott, Hiser was a graduate assistant coach at Springfield College (`90-'91) and the assistant coach at American International College (`92-'93, NCAA, Div II, Springfield, MA). He also held volunteer positions at The Defiance College ('88, NAIA, Ohio) and Ohio Northern ('89).

Hiser played his college ball at Ohio Northern (NCAA, Div III) from `84-'87 where he was an All Ohio Athletic Conference shortstop in '86. His teams also earned two trips to NCAA Mid-East regional tournaments.

Endicott baseball has gained respect as one of the strongest Division III programs in New England. In 13 seasons, the team has earned five conference championships (GNAC in '97, CCC in '00, '03, '04, '06), four NCAA regional appearances and three ECAC tournament appearances and one ECAC New England Championship in `05. Up to the start of the 2007 season, the program has amassed 247 victories for a season average of 20.5. Endicott has produced five ABCA Rawlings All New England players and had its first player drafted by Major League Baseball in 2005 (Matt Bishop, Houston Astros, 37th Round).

In addition to coaching baseball, Hiser serves as the Director of Athletics.
